Workshop: G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance on Technology Governance
To contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth, focusing on the urban areas where most of the world’s population resides, the World Economic Forum (WEF) and its Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Global Network, recommended by Business 20 (B20), Urban 20 (U20) and G20 Ministerial Statement on trade and Digital Economy have the Launch of G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance on Technology Governance on October 9 this year.
The Alliance will encourage networking and experience-sharing among cities and promote the adoption of common guiding principles for the governance of data and digital technology. The effort aims to foster greater openness and trust as well as create standards for how this data is collected and used. Through this workshop, we will discuss technology governance with multi-stakeholders such as the Governments, Municipalities, Academia and Private sectors.
